Pokémon cards have continued to add new move sets, features, and card types as the years have gone on. One that was added in the Sword and Shield era was none other than VStar Pokémon cards.

Since they haven’t been around as long, they are fortunately (or unfortunately depending on how many you have) not as expensive as a lot of others. That said, they absolutely do not slouch on artwork and are absolutely worth adding into any binder.

Let’s get to it!

#20 – Giratina VSTAR #201

Raw: ~$20-$35 | PSA 10: ~$110

Coming in first is the Giratina VStar from the incredibly popular Lost Origin set. If you are a fan of the set or of Giratina in general, you are in for a treat as we get further down the list.

This Giratina though can be picked up for an incredibly reasonable price and even has a slightly cheaper Japanese version if you prefer.

#19 – Simisear VSTAR #GG37

Raw: ~$20-$30 | PSA 10: ~$120

While it doesn’t follow a lot of the other VStar artworks, the Simisear VStar GG37 is incredibly cool and could be a stand out in any binder.

Still prefer Japanese versions? Have no fear, there is a Japanese Simisear VStar as well.

#18 – Mewtwo VSTAR #86

Raw: ~$25-$35 | PSA 10: ~$105

With the prices of a lot of other Mewtwo Pokémon cards, the Mewtwo VStar is a steal. Good artwork, golden background, less than $50. What else could you ask for?

Oh yea, a Japanese version if you prefer.

#17 – Lugia VSTAR #202

Raw: ~$30-$40 | PSA 10: ~$140

Like Rainbow Pokémon cards? You are in luck. The Lugia VStar is a must-add to any rainbow page and is still an absolute steal next to some of the other more expensive Lugia Pokémon cards.

And don’t you worry, there is a Japanese Lugia also.

#16 – Deoxys VSTAR #GG46

Raw: ~$30-$55 | PSA 10: ~$165

The Deoxys VStar is one of many incredibly cool artworks in the VStar list. As a matter of fact, it could be one of the best. And for about $50? Basically a must-add.

And don’t you worry Japanese Deoxys lovers, there is a Japanese version here too for about the same price.

#15 – Hisuian Zoroark VSTAR #GG56

Raw: ~$40-$50 | PSA 10: ~$120

Next up on the VStar list is the Hisuain Zoroark, yet another incredible artwork for around $50. If you love the card but want to spend slightly less, the Japanese version should be a great option for you!

#14 – Dragonite VSTAR #81

Raw: ~$40-$55 | PSA 10: ~$120

Love Dragonite and rainbow Pokémon cards? You’re in luck! The Dragonite VStar won’t break the bank like other expensive Dragonites, but can still stand out in a binder collection!

Find the Japanese version of this Dragonite for quite a bit less!

#13 – Mewtwo VSTAR #79

Raw: ~$45 | PSA 10: ~$140

Like the golden Mewtwo Vstar, but want it in a different color? Look no further! The Mewtwo VSTAR #79 is a rainbow version of the Mewtwo VSTAR #86 above.

Don’t fret, there is a cheaper Japanese version of this Mewtwo also.

#12 – Glaceon VSTAR #GG40

Raw: ~$50-$80 | PSA 10: ~$150

Next up is our very first Eeveelution on the list in the form of Glaceon. Yet another amazing art, this one falling over the $50 mark for a NM version.

Love the card but want to spend slightly less? The Japanese version may be for you.

#11 – Darkrai VStar #GG50

Raw: ~$65-$100 | PSA 10: ~$250

Another VStar, another amazing art. While Darkrai is not as popular as others on the list, this card is an incredible one.

This time, the Japanese version is nearly half the cost of the English version!

#10 – Mewtwo VSTAR [Prize Pack] #31

Raw: ~$60 | PSA 10: ~$274

Gold and Rainbow Mewtwo’s not your thing? Or they are but you can never have enough Mewtwo’s? Fair.

The Mewtwo VStar Prize Pack is yet another one to add to the collection then. There is a very cheap non prize pack both in English and in Japanese, but unfortunately not a Japanese Prize Pack.

Regardless, you have your pick of the litter of VStar Mewtwo cards!

#9 – Charizard VSTAR #174

Raw: ~$65 | PSA 10: ~$224

Rainbow and Charizard VStar? Yes please.

At a reasonably priced ~$65, this rainbow Charizard is substantially less than some of the more expensive Charizard cards but still a bit more than some of the cheapest Charizards you can find.

Once again, the Japanese Rainbow Charizard VStar is slightly less than the English.

#8 – Charizard VStar #SWSH262

Raw: ~$70-$100 | PSA 10: ~$1,047

If you want to talk about cool artworks, this Charizard VStar SWSH262 belongs on the list. What’s especially cool about this card is that the Mewtwo VStar is the same image from the perspective of the Mewtwo, while this is the view of the Charizard in their battle.

Find the Japanese version here!

#7 – Leafeon VSTAR #GG35

Raw: ~$80 | PSA 10: ~$170

Sick of Eeveelution Pokémon cards? Me neither.

This Leafeon has jumped in a few months in 2026 from $55 all the way up to north of $80. Better get it before it continues to rise even more!

Want a cheaper Japanese version? You are in luck! Find it here!

#6 – Origin Forme Palkia VSTAR #GG67

Raw: ~$100-$120 | PSA 10: ~$255

Fair warning that the Origin Forme Palkia VStar is the first card on the list to cross consistently into $100+ on the list. If you like the card and want to add it to your binder, you will have to shell out a fresh Benjamin for it.

If you want a Japanese Palkia? That will still run you $60-80.

#5 – Origin Forme Dialga VSTAR #GG68

Raw: ~$120 | PSA 10: ~$280

If you like the Palkia above, chances are you will also enjoy the Dialga VStar here. And the Palkia runs a bit more expensive also.

Fortunately, there is also a cheaper Japanese version here!

#4 – Arceus VSTAR #GG70

Raw: ~$150 | PSA 10: ~$350

If you went for the Palkia and Dialga, how on earth could you not go for the Arceus as well? While it could be debated, I think it would be tough to argue that the Arceus isn’t the coolest of the three.

The Japanese Arceus will also still run you over $100. Will need a Benjamin and some friends to to get your hands on these beauties.

#3 -Giratina VSTAR #GG69

Raw: ~$230| PSA 10: ~$555

Another day, another golden legendary VStar Pokémon card. This time, Giratina joins the party and comes in at a whopping $200+ price tag. The Japanese version here will run $170+ which is…. better?

#2 – Mewtwo VSTAR #GG44

Raw: ~$230-$300 | PSA 10: ~$500

The Mewtwo VStar is an absolute stunner of a card. Not only is it a mirror card to the Charizard VStar #SWSH262, but it has rocketed up in price since January of 2025, becoming one of the most expensive Mewtwo Pokémon cards of all time.

#1 – Charizard VSTAR [Prize Pack] #18

Raw: ~$250-$400 | PSA 10: ~?

The most expensive VStar Pokémon card is one you are less likely to have in your collection. The Charizard VStar Prize Pack could only be pulled from specialty prize packs and has the stamp along the right center of the card.

Fortunately, there is a non Prize Pack version of this Charizard for an incredibly reasonable $20.
